Vintage African Kuba cloth cushions medium

A selection of cushions handmade in the UK for Grace Sisters using vintage Kuba cloth from Africa. The reverse is made of Pierre Frey linen and each comes with a luxurious curled feather pad.

The textiles of the Kuba kingdom (modern day Democratic Republic of Congo) are renowned for their daring aesthetic and complex geometry. The key characteristic of these textiles, after their geometric designs, is their lustrous texture. Various intricate techniques are used including emboidery, patchwork and appliqué.

Available in two sizes, each has a unique design.
