Vintage African mud cloth cushion

Cushions hand made for Grace Sisters in the UK using African mud cloth with vintage cotton quilting on the reverse.

Mud cloth – also called ‘bogolan’ – is one of Africa’s most unusual and unique textiles. Cotton is handwoven into strips then sewn together. The textile is then dyed and hand painted with organic materials including fermented mud and plant matter.

Comes with a curled feather pad.
