Know The Origin

All Austin Austin products are certified Organic by the Soil Association and COSMOS, meaning that the Organic ingredients are traced back to the fields where they were grown without the use of added pesticides, making for healthier soil and more wildlife. Organic certification is a guarantee that at every stage, thought and care is given to reducing environmental impact.

Organic crops are up to 60% higher in antioxidants compared to non-organic. They also have a higher count of vitamins, mineral salts, essential fatty and amino acids which are crucial for skin-cell function and repair.

The products are produced in East Anglia and tested only on people. Their bottles are made from 100% recycled material and the boxes from FSC accredited sustainably managed forests. All of the packaging used is recyclable.

Austin Austin products are all vegan (apart from the body cream which uses a small amount of beeswax) and they do not contain any GM ingredients, SLS, silicones, parabens, mineral oils, artificial colours or fragrances. Good for you, good for the environment.

Austin Austin Skincare | BESSIE AND RICHARD AUSTIN

The Maker

BESSIE AND RICHARD AUSTIN

Austin Austin was founded by Bessie and Richard Austin, a daughter and father team from Norfolk. An early adopter of the organic philosophy Richard has worked in this field since the 70’s and has been a member of The Soil Association since 1979, he is also founder of Rainbow Wholefoods and Kingfisher Natural Toothpaste. Bessie grew up eating organic food and using natural products and worked in design and advertising in her pre Austin Austin life.

As a family run business they are committed to making these products as good as they can be and they undertake almost every process close to their home in East Anglia making their carbon footprint as minimal as possible. They want every bottle of Austin Austin to be of exquisite quality, to be a canvas for artwork on the bathroom shelf and to be priced in a way that ensures that their products don’t become too precious to be properly enjoyed each and every day.
