Multi purpose vessel, perfect for water and wine, coffee or tea and soup. This piece is pinched from a 1 pound ball of clay, a very traditional and simple way of making and it is then carved into using one tool. The cup is largely made just with Olivia’s hands and fits perfectly into cupped hands. The exterior markings are blended by her fingers and neatly fit them too. This way the user is very connected to it’s maker when they hold it – almost feeling the indentations of their hands as they use it. It’s a lovely connection between us, when mass production is so often the norm.

Olivia’s work is typified by elegant imperfection and simplicity. Across her ceramic and antique ventures Olivia produces and sources distinctive pieces with expression, curiosity and quality at their heart. Her ceramic work is made using traditional hand building techniques with a forward-thinking attitude. She creates one-off pieces and small run collections.
Olivia works for private clients and collaborates with other artists, designers and brands, including Heckfield Place, Aesop and the Modern House.
