Drinking chocolate


Real chocolate made for melting with whole milk and cream to make a delicious hot chocolate drink.

How we like it:

Gently heat a few spoons together with 180ml of whole milk and 20ml of double cream to create a rich but not too sweet drinking chocolate. Add marshmallows or a squirt of whipped cream for a bit of extra decadence.

Know The Origin

Heist is a tiny independent chocolate maker based in Cardiff, Wales which specialises in micro-batches of stone ground chocolate using single origin, organic, cocoa beans. Each batch of beans is turned into lovely chocolate bars in a small factory in the centre of the city. Heist is a bean to bar chocolate company, meaning every bar of chocolate you buy is made from scratch and has been sorted, roasted, cracked, winnowed, ground, tempered, wrapped, stamped and stitched by Heist’s one-man team and founder, Mikey Lewis.

The Maker


Mikey’s chocolate making experiments started in 2016, playing with ingredients in the shed of his house share. Having always been interested in graphic design, he spent many nights mocking up packaging for the bars he had made – all for fun and with no intention of ever starting a chocolate company. Months passed, equipment grew and his new found hobby slowly became a passion and then a business.
